Guernsey: Wednesday 19th October 7.30pm, Les Cotils
Jersey: Thursday 20th October 8pm, Pomme D’Or Hotel
Cybersecurity has been a critical consideration in system design and operation since the introduction of computers. Cybersecurity is constantly changing, with new threats and vulnerabilities requiring constant vigilance by individuals and businesses. No business, individual or system is immune to emerging cybersecurity threats, which require toolsets and, more importantly, individuals with specific skills and insight to manage threats.
During the talk, Werner Bornman, Director of Technology at Jersey Electricity, will cover various topics related to cybersecurity, including the basics of cybersecurity, modern attack and control approaches, and, more importantly, how it relates to engineering.
For Jersey Lectures – the talk will start at 8:00pm (which is free to attend) but is proceeded by an optional dinner, starting at 6:30pm. If you wish to attend the dinner at a cost of £30pp bookings can be made via Eventbrite. If you have any dietary requirements, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
