Guernsey: Wednesday 18th September 7:30pm, Les Cotils

Jersey: Thursday 19th September 5:30pm, Jersey Museum

The destructive nature of fires and explosions present forensic investigators with some of the most challenging incident scenes encountered.  This short presentation will provide an overview of the forensic processes involved in recording, recovery, analysis and interpretation of evidence associated with fire and expolsion scenes and the individuals involved.  The interpretation of damage and fire patterns to determine cause and origin and whether these involve deliberate acts will also be discussed including opportunities and limitations associated with current forensic capabilities.

For Jersey lectures in 2024, we have started a new way of presenting and this will be at the Ouless Room at the Jersey Museum. The doors will open at 5:00pm for a 5:30pm start, with complimentary tea and coffee on arrival. We have limited capacity so if you wish to attend the lecture free bookings can be made via Eventbrite.
